Ultimate Reality
Ultimate Reality is the product of the collaboration between Dan Deacon and underground film maker Jimmy Roche. It's a psychedelic kaleidoscope mind fuck staring our favorite action hero, Arnold Schwarzenegger set to unrelenting music of Dan Deacon. If you never have taken a psychedelic like acid before, watch some of this and you'll get a idea what it looks like when your tripping your balls off. Check out the entire thing below.

Yellow Ostrich
Yellow Ostrich is an indie rock duo hailing from New York City, with lead man Alex Schaaf doing just about everything minus the percussion which is left to Michael Tapper. With the use of looped vocal "oohs" and "ahhs", distorted guitar riffs, and pounding drum beats; Yellow Ostrich creates a refreshing take on indie rock. They already have one album under their belt, The Mistress, which i'd highly recommend. They are getting ready to release their second album this year, and from the couple singles they have released it sounds like they have only improved and expanded their original sound.
I've posted "WHALE" which is from their first album and "Marathon Runner" which is a single off their upcoming release. Let me know what you guys think.

New Single from Oberhofer "HEART"
I've already introduced you all to Oberhofer a few months ago, but they recently released a new single for their upcoming debut album Time Caplsule II out March 27th.
This band has been one of my favorites for a while now and after hearing their newest song i'm even more excited for their debut album release. "HEART" is a little different from anything Oberhofer has put out thus far and is one of their most expansive tracks they have done. The song still has the same puppy love type feel as their other tracks, but with an explosive climax at the end fading into a lo-fi electronic tune that wraps it all up perfectly. Its basically an Oberhofer "In the Flowers", which makes me imagine the rest of the album is going to be epic. Check it out and let me know what you guys think.

The Coasts
Now for a refreshing rock duo by the name of The Coasts. They haven't been around long but I think we will be hearing more and more about them in the future. Check out their song John Lennon, which has its roots in classic rock similar to Joe Walsh and the like.

ODDSAC
ODDSAC is an experimental "visual album" by Animal Collective, featuring psychedelic visuals directed and edited by Danny Perez. This is one of the best films I've seen to watch while under the influence. I've watched it sober a couple times, and while its still amazing, it seems the creator engineered the film to compliment your favorite psychedelic drug of choice. The visuals are unrelenting, and I feel the director was on a mission to overwhelm the viewers senses. Danny Perez does a outstanding job of taking you on a roller coster ride of emotions, from the beautiful highs, to the disturbing and demented lows, and back again. The soundtrack by Animal Collective is a perfect compliment to the ridiculous visuals and moods of the film. If you ever have a chance to see it, I'd strongly recommend you do so.

The Weeknd
So i know i'm a little late on this artist, but after my recent discovery of him i felt the need to share for all you that may be in the dark on this guy. There have really only been two genres of music that i just couldn't ever stand listening to: country and R&B. While i still don't think i'll ever be able to get into popular country music, The Weeknd is making me feel differently about R&B. To me The Weeknd is r&b for listeners that have always hated R&B. The lyrics have a dark and almost ominous feel about them, distant from popular R&B's super cheesy love vomit that i have always despised. Also the beats on the tracks show a good departure from your generic R&B beats, exploring a soundscape of elctronic noise that you wouldn't think you'd find in a R&B song. Check them out and let me know what you guys think.
